LouAnn Wetzel, 73, daughter of Don and Louise Liddle Plagmann, was born Aug. 17, 1930, in Kansas City. She died May 23, 2004, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. She graduated from South West High in Kansas City and attended one year of college at Kansas University in Lawrence, Kan. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Phi. She married Louis H. Wetzel in 1950. They explored many different areas but enjoyed living in the Bucyrus area, where they had a dairy farm. They opened Ozark Glass and Mirror in 1986. Mrs. Wetzel took care of the bookkeeping and financial matters until 1997, when their son, Sam, took over the business. Mrs. Wetzel’s hobbies included painting and etching glass and mirrors. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Surviving are her two sons, Matt Wetzel and Sam Wetzel of Bucyrus; one brother, Bob Plagmann of Derby, Kan.; and four grandchildren. Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday at the Wetzel family cemetery with the Rev. Tony Sigman officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Visitation is 7 to 8 o’clock tonight (Thursday) at the Evans chapel. “
