Willard Chloe Ireland, 68, son of Hardy and Mattie Johnson Ireland, was born Jan. 15, 1937, at Summersville. He died Aug. 27, 2005, at Lester E. Cox Medical Center South emergency room in Springfield.Mr. Ireland served in the U.S. Army several years. He worked for Dryer Williams Shoe Store and operated a food brokerage company, C and B Sales in Springfield until his retirement.A resident of Springfield, he was saved and baptized at a young age and attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Springfield. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.Surviving are two children, Willard A. Ireland and Jennifer Green of Clever; two siblings, Chelmer Ireland of Greenfield and Naomi Joyce Ice of Houston; and two grandchildren.Services were Aug. 31 at the Walnut Lawn Funeral Chapel in Springfield with the Rev. James Montgomery officiating. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Mountain Grove. “
