SALISBURY – Brenda Sue Johnson, 57, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006. A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Vivian Carpenter Silver Jr., and wife of the late Frank Johnson. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Teresa; a sister, Barbara Buchanan; and two brothers, Billy and Buddy Silver.

Survivors include a daughter, Lori Everhart of Concord; three sons, Sammy Johnson of Spruce Pine, Charles Johnson of Florida, and Curtis Grice of Salisbury; a sister, Beverly Woody of Spruce Pine; a brother, Benny Silver of Newland; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Rev. Alvin Carpenter officiated. Burial was in Pendley Cemetery. The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine assisted the family.
