Charles Edmond Bell, 75, son of Emmett B. Bell and Eva Pitts Bell, was born March 18, 1931, at Summersville. He died Feb. 10, 2007.
He married Ruby Lea Williams June 1, 1952. They were married 54 years and had eight children.
He worked at many jobs and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family.
Mr. Bell was a member of Faith Baptist Church at Summersville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a baby boy and girl; and two brothers, Norman and Robert Lee Bell.
Surviving are his wife of the home; children, Randy C. Bell of Monett, Daryl D. Bell, Mike A. Bell and Lisa Armstrong of Summersville, Brenda Bell of Houston and Karen Holloway of Winona; two sisters, Bonnie Smith and Evelyn Gruben of Summersville; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were Feb. 14 at the Faith Baptist Church at Summersville with the Rev. Hubert Newman and the Rev. Rick Spacek officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
