Ruth Willhite Porter, 72, daughter of Robert and Bessie Willhite, was born July 30, 1934, at Plato. She died Feb. 1, 2007, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
She graduated from Plato High school and married Norris Porter of Competition.
After her husband’s retirement from the Air Force, the Porters made their home at Jacksonville, Ark.
Mrs. Porter was a member of the Plato Christian Church..
She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Willhite; and a son, Michael Porter.
Surviving are her husband of Jacksonville Ark.; son, Eddie Porter; two sisters, Mabel Hammond of Wooster, Ohio, and Fern Weber of Plato; three brothers, James Willhite of Springfield, Howard Willhite of Katy, Texas, and Dale Willhite of Plato; and four grandchildren.
