Earnie Matthew Stark, 57, son of Matthew N. Stark and Mary L. Gale Stark, was born Feb. 8, 1950, at St. Louis. He died April 16, 2007, at his home near Summersville.
He married Bettiann Young Dec. 8, 1972. She brought to the marriage three children, Ernie, Jeffry and Christopher of the St. Louis area.
Mr. Stark was baptized in 1989 at the Bethel Community Church at Summersville.
He helped with the care of his mother and stepfather. His hobbies included watching Cardinal baseball and Rams football, listening to Merle Haggard and watching wildlife from his window.
He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Forrest Stark; paternal grandparents, Henry and Sarah Stark; and maternal grandparents; Calvin and Iva Gale.
Surviving are his mother of Summersville; sisters, Glenda M. Belew of Summersville, Brenda F. Pitts of St. Louis and Linda K. Beason of Florissant; and brother, Chuck Stark of St. Louis.
Services were April 20 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brad Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery.
