The Houston Lions Club is busy making plans for its June 29 fireworks show and entertainment in Houston.
The event is one of the largest in southwest Missouri and will feature numerous entertainment acts, as well as an expanded fireworks show accompanied to music.
Members of the club are soliciting merchants and the public for advertisements that will be included in a tabloid, which includes a schedule of events. Donations toward the event also are sought.
It is the fifth year for the event.
Persons interested in assisting can contact any Lions Club member. The deadline is nearing for inclusion.
