A Solo man was ordered to stand trial Tuesday on allegations that he left a Houston accident scene in November.

Devin James was charged following a Nov. 18 accident that occurred on Westwood Drive and disrupted power service to a portion of the community. Police said James was the driver of the vehicle that clipped a utility pole. The truck was found the next day at Tweed’s Bottom, an access to the Big Piney River. Vehicle pieces found at the scene matched the recovered truck, police said. James told investigators that his father had picked him up at the Eagle’s Club.

James was ordered to stand trial during a hearing before Associate Circuit Judge Greg Warren of Pulaski County. An assistant attorney general is prosecuting the case after County Prosecutor Mike Anderson excused himself because the defendant’s mother is the county assessor.
