The Houston track team failed to advance anyone into the finals of the MSHSAA track championships.
Travis Swearengin, who placed second at sectionals, was 15th in the preliminaries of the 100-meters in 11.66. Only the top eight runners advanced.
The 100 relay team of Swearengin, Justin Stringer, Johnny Record and Travis Holden finished 11th in qualifying at 46.02. They were less than a second behind Holden, the last team to advance with a time of 45.70.
