Betty Joan Dotson Sweet, 73, daughter of Tucker and Mary Hazel Skaggs Dotson, was born April 4, 1934, in Texas County. She died June 23, 2007, at the Kabul Nursing Home.
She grew up in the Cabool area and attended Cabool High School where she met her husband.
She married Warren E. Sweet Nov. 15, 1952. They had six children.
Mrs. Sweet attended the Cabool Christian and Abundant Life churches. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and watching her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nadine Carelli; son, Jeffery; and twin girls born pre-term.
Surviving are her husband; son, Charles; daughters, Ronda Crewse and Mary Lynn Sweet; sister, Geraldine Hale; brothers, Gary and Buck Dotson; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
No services are planned.
Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
