Sales tax revenue in Texas County dropped from a year ago in the latest monthly distribution, reports the Missouri Department of Revenue.

About $110,442 was collected by county merchants from a half-cent sales tax. That’s down about $2,818 from a year ago. For the year, $406,288 has been generated. That’s an increase of about $24,284 from a year ago.

Two half-cent sales taxes earmarked for a new county justice center and general operations each netted $110,408. For the year, the total for each is about $404,930.
