Vera Faye Miller, 83, daughter of James Clarence and Cora Jane Miller Bennett, was born July 26, 1923. She died June 13, 2007, at Ash Grove Healthcare Center following a short illness.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and former Houston area resident. She moved to Ash Grove in 1996 and was a member of the Ash Grove Assembly of God.

She married Russell Lynn Miller Sept. 29, 1940. They had five children and were married more than 66 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Cecil, Homer, Elmer, Calvin and Ralph Bennett; three sisters, Clara Harmon, Della Gobble and Fannie Rust; and three infant brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her husband; four sons, Gary L. Miller of Neosho, Lonnie Miller of Savannah, Tenn., Tim Miller of Rolla and Don Miller of Ash Grove; one daughter, Brenda Schweighauser of Summersville; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services were June 15 at the Wilson Brim-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel at Ash Grove with the Rev. Don Miller and the Rev. Arvel Schweighauser officiating. Graveside services were later that day at the New Hope Cemetery at Solo.
