For the seventh consecutive year, the Ozarks Property Rights Congress will host an all day conference on private property rights. This year’s edition on Saturday, Aug. 4, will focus on issues including eminent domain, county health department’s regulations on land use and the proposed National Animal Identification System.
The “Real Conservationist Award” will be presented for outstanding work on behalf of protecting property rights.
A report direct from Australia will inform those in attendance as to the condition of the animal identification program in effect in that country. This will be a first-hand account of what cattle producers are experiencing there in regard to animal ID.
The event at the Cinema II Theatre in Cabool will begin at 9 a.m. but everyone is invited to come earlier for free coffee and donuts. The public is welcome, and there is no admission charge, a spokesperson said.
