Crews will begin preparing Sam Houston Blvd. through Houston Monday for new stripes, which will be painted Tuesday. Work hours are scheduled from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. each day.
The Missouri Department of Transportation said diamond grinding of the pavement has been finished. This project was awarded to Chester Bross Construction, Co., of Hannibal at a cost of $113,407.
Motorists should exercise caution in the area, watching for workers and equipment on the roadway. Traffic will be reduced to one-lane as necessary. Work zone signage will be in place to help guide motorists.
