U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson visited the Texas County Food Pantry and Texas County Health Department Tuesday to congratulate both entities on their receipt of funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Development.
“Hunger is a domestic problem throughout our country that has long been the focus of my efforts representing the 8th Congressional District, as it was for Bill Emerson during his service,” Jo Ann Emerson said. “I am very pleased that USDA Rural Development is rewarding the efforts of the Texas County Food Pantry to facilitate the generosity, kindness and philanthropy of so many in southern Missouri who willingly lend a hand to their neighbors in need.”
