Houston police are investigating vandalism to a house on Spruce Street.
Officers were called to the John Jordan residence, 920 Spruce St., where a window pane on the north side of the house sustained damage from what appeared to be a marble.
Police said the outer window pane had a hole from where the marble penetrated the glass. The marble was stuck between the two window panes, according to a report. The incident occurred Aug. 12.
In other matters, police:
-Investigated vandalism to a vehicle belonging to Dustin Pelaquin, 17, of 9461 Highway E. It had been parked at the TCMH turn-around. An antenna was bent. A rear view mirror, approximately 20 CDs and $2-$3 were missing. The total loss is estimated at $250.
-Cited Stephen G. Podest, 28, of 8900 Highway E, with following too closely following an Aug. 16 accident near South Sam Houston Blvd. and Holder Drive. Police said Podest struck a car in the rear operated by Kristina L. Choate, 25, of 142 N. Oak Crest Drive.
-Assisted Yucca Valley, Calif. police with a sexual abuse report that occurred about 10 years ago there. A 17-year-old boy, the victim, was interviewed by local authorities.
-Investigated theft from a Pepsi machine at Grand Appliance on South Sam Houston Blvd. The incident occurred Aug. 10-11. It is unknown how much money was taken. There was no forced entry.
-Cited Rosann M. Scheets, 40, of 777 W. Highway 17, Apt. 22, with following too closely after an Aug. 17 accident that occurred at Grand Avenue and South Sam Houston Blvd. Scheets struck a vehicle driven by Samuel F. Powell, 51, of Willow Springs.
-Arrested Teresa A. Adkins, 37, of 112 W. Spruce, Apt. 2, on Aug. 17 on a failure to appear on a child neglect charge from Christian County.
