The new chancellor of Missouri State University-West Plains toured the Houston campus on Monday.
Dr. Drew Bennett visited at classrooms on North U.S. 63. Enrollment is up 23 percent this semester. There are 32 students who are using Houston as their home base.
Students are taking 10-15 hours in Houston, online or at campuses at another satellite at Mountain Grove of the main campus in West Plains.
Elaine Campbell, an instructor who oversees the campus, reported she has students driving from Plato, Licking, Cabool, Huggins and Summersville, in addition to the Houston area.
