An Elk Creek woman was injured Thursday when she met a tractor-trailer unit on a Highway H curve and struck it.
Tpr. Marty Wiseman said the trailer of the unit driven by Johnnie D. Wake, 75, of Willow Springs, was across the centerline when Kathryn R. Shriver, 63, hit it.
Shriver, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries, Wiseman said. Her vehicle was totaled. Wake was not injured.
