A new asphalt surface on U.S. 63 beginning at Licking and extending north about 8.37 miles should be completed by the end of the month, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Ozark Asphalt Co. is the contractor on the project that also includes paving the shoulders to widen the traveling surface.
Other projects planned:
*Rumble strips are slated for installation on U.S. 63 between U.S. 60 and Highway U at Cabool.
*Shoulder repairs on Highway 17 are on the schedule.
