A vehicle struck a deer Thursday night south of Houston on U.S. 63, said the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tpr. Terry Nelson said Walter G. Tyler, 62, of Decatur, Mich., was the operator of the Ford Escape. A passenger, Rodney Tyler, 67, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. Walter Tyler sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
