Ava scored on six of its first seven possessions, including a 53-yard pass just one second before halftime, as the Bears raced out to a commanding lead and cruised to a 45-21 victory Friday night.

Tight end David Foster caught 26- and 25-yard passes to set up Brad Pounds’ 1-yard plunge with 5:48 left.
After a Travis Barker interception, Justin Schmidt and Pounds covered 37 yards on consecutive carries to move the ball to the Ava 5-yard line. Schmidt punched it in on the nesxt play.
Another Barker interception three plays later led to Schmidt’s 4-yard score with 22 seconds left. Schmidt had a 47-yard scamper on the four-play drive.
