Gourmet coffee is making its debut in Houston.
Jim and Barb Kupets are opening Moose Coffee and Gifts in a newly remodeled building at 725 S. Sam Houston Blvd. The business offers consumers with an alternative to beverages choices.
Every cup of coffee served at Moose Coffee is prepared by “Certified Baristas” and blended to the customer’s specification.
The Kupets feel like every community, regardless of size, should give local residents a taste of fine quality products and premier customer service. They pledge to be active in the local community and contribute a portion of gross profits to local charities.
The Kupets and staff attended a training session at Chauvin Coffee in St. Louis to become certified baristas. They invite the public to stop by for a demonstration of their gourmet coffee making skills. In addition to gourmet coffee, their drink choice includes brewed coffee, hot tea, Italian soda, hot chocolate, water and old fashion bottled soda. Food choices include Italian beef sandwich, pork tenderloin sandwich, tuna or chicken salad croissants or fresh garden salad. To satisfy the sweat tooth cookies, pie, muffins, brownies, cake, scones or Old Time Penny Candy will be available.
Unique gifts for special occasions also will be available. Merchandise includes handcrafted items, and a large selection of Melissa and Doug Toy product line.
Moose Coffee and Gifts provides free Wi-Fi Internet connection along with a comfortable lounge area. Hours of operation are Monday – Thursday, 6 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday- Saturday, 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. The business opens Sept. 26.
