Houston police investigated separate incidents where items disappeared from shopping carts at a local business.
Officers were called Aug. 30 to Houston Wal-Mart, where a cellular telephone was missing from a shopping cart. The victim, Cindy Weller, of Mountain Grove, estimated the loss at $75. That same day a purse was stolen from another shopping cart. Jamie K. Van Wagner, 31, of #29 Northview Lane, made the report.
In other matters, police:
-Charged Madge A. Anderson, 32, of Houston, with third-degree assault following a domestic call at 140 S. Oak Crest on Aug. 26.
-Arrested Mary A. Copeland, 26, 8205 Northview Lane, Lot #4, on a City of Houston warrant charging her with the assault. She posted $1,500 bond on Aug. 26.
-Arrested Amanda Malchert, 20, of Yukon, on a municipal warrant charging her with a parking violation. She posted bond on Aug. 25.
-Cited Timothy M. King, 38, of 402 Phelps, with DWI.
