The Houston junior varsity football team was shutout 40-0 Monday night by visiting Mountain Grove.
The Tigers were able to move the ball, coach Boulder McKinney said. But they couldn’t punch it in the end zone.
“We are still not playing with the intensity we need to in order to be competitive,” McKinney said. “We still need to stop the big plays on defense and need to step up and make the big plays on offense. Even though we are a young JV team, that’s still no reason not to go out there and play hard and compete for all four quarters.”
