The Houston junior varsity volleyball team won two of its three matches the past week.

After wins against Mountain Grove and Eminence, the Lady Tigers lost a hard-fought match 30-28, 19-25, 25-18 Tuesday at Mountain View.

Lainey Casper led the Houston offense with 24 kills. Kelsi Adey added seven kills, and Samantha Jones had six. Tory Burgess had 24 assists.

Kaitlyn Kell had five kills in Houston’s 25-21, 11-25, 25-23 victory at Mountain Grove. Tory Burgess had 17 assists and 10 digs, and Casper also had 10 digs.

Monday night against Eminence, Casper had eight kills in Houston’s 25-16, 25-23 victory.

Burgess had 18 assists and a pair of aces for the Lady Tigers. Adey led the defense with 13 digs.
