Leola Lin Winkler, 85, daughter of Perry Alonzo and Chloya Pearl Searcy Uthe, was born Jan. 4, 1922, at Norcatur, Kan. She died Sept. 24, 2007, at Licking Park Manor.
She married Richard Vincent Winkler March 1, 1947.
She loved helping people and visiting with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Forest Uthe and Morris Uthe; and an infant son, Gerald Lin Winkler.
Surviving are her son, James Vincent Winkler of Port Orange, Fla.; one sister, Hazel Land of Houston; and four grandchildren.
A celebration of her life is 4 o’clock Sunday at the Cedar Lake Clubhouse at Smithville.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
