Services for Merrel Melton, 90, are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the Houston United Methodist Church.
There is no formal visitation. The body will lie in state from noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Evans Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the donor’s choice of American Heart Association, American Kidney Foundation, American Foundation for the Blind, Hospice of Care or Houston United Methodist Church.
