A full slate of activities were announced Tuesday for the 111th anniversary of Montauk Mill, which is slated for Saturday at Montauk State Park east of Licking.
The mill, which was constructed in 1896, will be open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Special music is planned for 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Doyle Sanders of Salem will demonstrate the life of a mountain man – from fire starting to black powder shooting – from noon until 3 p.m. Libby Sanders, will offer storytelling from 3 to 4 p.m.
Throughout the day, numerous old time skill and crafts demonstrations are planned. Old-fashioned games also are on tap.
