The Texas County Food Pantry won a $100,000 grant earmarked for operational funding from a statewide organization.
The Missouri Foundation for Health said Tuesday the money was among almost $1.5 million distributed in south-central Missouri. The food pantry, which is situated on East Highway 17, provides groceries and other services to low-income families.
Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla, won nearly $1.3 million for dental services to underserved child. Its trade area includes Texas County.
