Two of four women accused of aiding accused murderer Neldon Neal are expected to appear Oct. 4 to enter a guilty plea, court records show.

Evelyn E. Lansdown, 33, and Erica D. Moore, 31, are charged with aiding Neal, who for 62 days eluded lawmen as they combed the area trying to find the suspect in northwest Texas County. Court records show that on Sept. 4 petitions to enter a guilty plea were filed.

Mary E. Thomas, 38; and Kathy McComas, 53, are also charged. All four, according to criminal complaints, provided Neal, 61, with food, camping supplies and other items after he was accused of shooting his wife, Judy, 51, at their Roby trailer on March 13. Neal was arrested in May at a campsite along the Gasconade River in Laclede County and immediately was sent to prison to begin serving the remainder of a previous term. He is charged with second-degree murder.

Thomas’ case is set for a jury trial on Feb. 19 and 20. McComas will appear Nov. 6 for a trial setting.
