Two persons face charges following an accident Tuesday night that injured a Licking woman, said the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
A pickup driven by Katherine E. Yourkewitz, 53, was traveling northbound on U.S. 63 when she attempted to make a left turn onto Highway CC. A tractor-trailer unit operated by David E. Philbert, 57, was also attempting to pass, and the patrol said the pickup struck the rig’s gas tank and trailer.
Yourkewitz was taken to TCMH with moderate injuries. The truck was totaled.
Sgt. Dwayne Gale said Yourkewitz was charged with DWI, and Philbert with improper passing.
Members of the Licking Fire Department were called to the scene after a report of diesel fuel leaking.
