A Baldwin group will lease Licking Park Manor at the beginning of December.
Community Care Centers Inc., under owner Jim Giardina, will assume ownership of the nursing home from Foster Health Care, which notified the city last month that it would opt out of its lease.
Giardina owns several skilled nursing homes and residential care centers, including the Licking Residential Care Center and a facility in Salem.
In a statement, the City of Licking said it anticipates a smooth transition. Present employees will be retained, and residents’ care will continue without interruption.
Three years remain on the lease contract for the nursing home. There is an option to renew for five years in 2010.
