Six firemen from Houston and the city’s fire truck equipped with an aerial ladder responded Friday night to a large blaze that destroyed one business and threatened several more.
Firefighters from Cabool, Grove Springs, Houston, Mansfield, Mountain Grove, Northern Wright, Norwood, West Plains and Willow Springs were called to help battle the blaze.
No injuries were reported in fighting the fire, which was reported just after 7 p.m.
Ratteree and Barnes Plumbing Co. was mostly destroyed and another building that housed a resale shop sustained damage.
The fire was under control by about 11 p.m., but water was still being doused on lingering flames at 1 a.m. Saturday.
