The Houston JV volleyball team outlasted two opponents in marathon matches.
After earning a 21-25, 25-21, 25-22 victory Thursday at Winona, the Lady Tigers outlasted Ava 23-25, 25-12, and 25-18 at home Tuesday night.
Tory Burgess led Houston with 14 assists and six kills against Ava. Kaitlyn Kell had five aces, and Samantha Jones and Lainey Casper had three blocks apiece.
At Winona, Kelsi Adey had four aces for the Lady Tigers. Burgess added three. Lainey Casper had a team-best 13 digs and two blocks.
