Mark Twain National Forest officials are seeking comments on the forest’s proposed five-year “Program of Work” covering management of recreational facilities, including some in Texas County.
The program of work includes replacement of some facilities that are in poor condition or do not meet accessibility standards; removal of some facilities that are not needed; and attracting volunteers and partners to help operate and maintain several of our recreation areas.
The five-year Proposed Program of Work can be viewed on the Mark Twain National Forest web site at http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/forests/marktwain.
Comments received by Oct. 15 will be considered in developing the final program.
