Area residents interested in taking classes during the spring 2008 semester at Missouri State University-West Plains can now browse through the list of courses that will be available on the campus’ Web site.
The complete 2008 spring schedule course listing can be found at grizlyden.missouristate.edu. Paper copies of the schedule will be available on campus in early November, officials said.
More than 200 classes will be offered during the spring semester at the West Plains campus. Courses also will be available at Missouri State-West Plains campuses in Mountain Grove and Houston, as well as online, officials said.
Current students have the opportunity to register for classes during an early registration period Nov. 15-21. They can prepare for early registration by visiting with their adviser during Advisement for Success Kickoff Week Nov. 5-9. Advisers have set aside additional advising time during this week to meet with students at a time that’s convenient for the students, officials said.
Students can make an appointment to visit with their adviser either by phone, e-mail or in person at the adviser’s office to discuss their schedule and receive an alternate PIN, which will allow them to register online through Missouri State-West Plains’ Grizzly Den.
Once students have spoken with their adviser and received their alternate PIN, they may register for courses on the Grizzly Den Web site 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the early registration period, or they can register in person at the Office of Registration and Records in Looney Hall Room 202 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Officials remind that students are permitted to register during early registration according to a schedule based on the number of credit hours completed. The early registration schedule for the spring 2008 semester can be viewed at http://www.wp.missouristate.edu/RecReg/EarlyRegistration.htm. Students are encouraged to register during the appointed times, but they also may register at any later time, officials said.
Regular registration for the spring 2008 semester begins Nov. 26 and continues through Jan. 13, 2008. The first day of classes for the spring 2008 semester is Jan. 14.
