A Summersville trailer-truck driver escaped injury Friday when a man driving a golf cart made a U-turn in front of the big rig, the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Keith P. Summers, 36, was traveling north on U.S. 63 at Vichy when the golf cart driver, Harold L. Claas, 75, made a U-turn in front of the rig. Tpr. A.N. McDonald said the driver of the cart was thrown. He was taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center at Rolla with serious injuries. He is charged with careless and imprudent driving and operating a golf cart on the roadway.
