Houston Community Foundation to sponsor first 5K Fun Run Saturday (12:29 p.m.)
A public meeting is planned for Friday to discuss a Missouri Department of Transportation decision to close its Success maintenance shed.
The meeting is 7 p.m. at the Roby Community Center on Highway 17. Organizers say two others in the region, Nebo and Manes, also are targeted as part of a consolidation of MoDOT facilities in the state.
