The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Summersville High School.
Proof of identification is required for first-time donors. Eligibility requirements include weighing at least 110 pounds and being in general good health.
A simple blood donation can save the lives of up to three people. It takes more than 275 donations every day to meet the needs of patients in 36 area hospitals, including Texas County Memorial Hospital.
