The staff of Rep. Jo Ann Emerson will make two stops in Texas County as part of Emerson’s Congressional Connection stops.
Emerson’s representatives will meet with the public Nov. 27 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Houston Area Chamber of Commerce and 3-4 p.m. at Licking City Hall.
Emerson has three offices in Rolla, Farmington and Cape Girardeau as part of the 8th Congressional District. Staff members from each office will be responsible for the program in their respective region, establishing a closer connection between constituents and the staff members who normally serve them.
“Folks need to be able to meet one-on-one with a member of my staff every so often to discuss casework as well as the issues facing us in southern Missouri,” Emerson said. “The staff member in most cases will be back in the office by the end of the day and able to pass along the result of these meetings to me as soon as possible.”
