Texas County Sheriff Carl Watson said a search warrant has been served and evidence seized in the murder investigation of a Tyrone man who was shot through the front window of his home.
Watson said authorities are actively involved in the homicide of 42-year old Ricky Luebbert, who was murdered Nov. 10 in the front room of his trailer.
The State Water Patrol has joined the Texas County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol in the investigation.
“We’ve seized a considerable amount of evidence in the case,” Watson said Tuesday afternoon. “We’ve eliminated some people, and we’ve still got some people we’re looking at.”
Officials believe Luebbert was shot through the front window of his home from the highway. His body was found three days later by a neighbor.
Luebbert was a member of the Tyrone Volunteer Fire Department.
