The Texas County Sheriff’s Department is investigating related thefts over the weekend near Success.
In the late hours Sunday night or early Monday morning, an 18-foot bumper hitch flatbed trailer and many square bales of hay were swiped. Then at a nearby residence, a 2005 green Polaris Ranger was taken.
Officers said the suspects pushed the Ranger through a field and cut a fence to gain access to the highway. They believe the Ranger was loaded onto the trailer and covered with the square hay bales to conceal it.
A reward is offered for the recovery of the Polaris Ranger.
Information is also being sought after the theft of GRIZZLY brand tools stolen from a shop building north of Success on Highway M. Items missing from the Sunday night heist are a bench grinder, air compressor, jigsaw, palm sander, router and numerous hand tools. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s department.
