A 17-year-old area bull rider died after a bull stepped on his chest at a rodeo in Ash Flat, authorities said.
Zackary Clinton of Willow Springs died Saturday night at the Fulton County Hospital after the incident at the Bar D Arena, Ash Flat Police Chief Mike Zeiger said.
Zeiger said the bull threw the teen to the ground before stepping on his chest.
Clinton was a junior at Willow Springs High, where he played on the school’s baseball team, Principal Jimalee James said.
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday at Willow Springs High School.
