Filings began Dec. 16 for several offices that will be filled in the April municipal elections. They include cities, schools, water districts and some county boards.

The deadline to file is Jan. 22.

Here is a look at incumbents for offices:

TCMH – Mark Forbes, five-year term.

City of Houston – Joe Honeycutt, Ward I; Joyce Campbell, Ward II; and Don Romines, Ward III. [two-year terms]

Houston board of education – Sharon Hart, Tom Dunn and Jim Cavanaugh, three-year terms.

Success board of education – Benny Bean, Regina Breedlove and Patricia Akers, three-year terms. Appointees Carl Shelton and Robert Bates also must seek election.

Raymondville board of education – Don Schweighauser, Joe Ceplina and James Richards, three-year terms.

Plato board of education – Doug Caldwell, Lori Crabtree and Virginia “Fry” Burcham, three-year terms.

Village of Raymondville – Gene DeWitt and Don Barton Jr., two-year terms.
