Tyler DeWitt scored a team-high seven points as the Tigers lost their season opener 53-15 Tuesday night at West Plains.
DeWitt, who was 5-for-5 at the free-throw line, scored all of his points in the second quarter. Justin Buchholz scored four points for Houston, which trailed 18-1 after one quarter.
