The Texas County Library Board this week announced an amnesty program for overdue books. Patrons have until 3 p.m. Dec. 31 to return items without fear of penalty.
Beginning next year, the board said it would begin using a collection system for retrieval of materials not returned on their due date.
The library’s main branch is in Houston. Satellites are in place in Cabool, Licking and Summersville.
