A Licking man charged in connection with an accident that killed two children is set to go to trial in April, according to court documents.

Justin D. Bradshaw, 25, is charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter, three counts of second-degree assault by operating a vehicle intoxicated and DWI, prior offender.

The charge stems from a December 2006 accident that killed Ryan M. Jones, 15; and Amanda Strom, 8. The Strom child died the next day at St. John’s Hospital. Ryan Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.

A blood sample taken from Bradshaw revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .123 when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 1990 Ford driven by Matthew M. Strom, 34, of Edgar Springs, about four miles north of Licking.

A civil lawsuit against Bradshaw also is pending in circuit court, records show.
