Dr. Fred Czerwonka

One of three candidates for Houston School District superintendent accepted an offer to become the assistant superintendent of the West Plains School District, it was confirmed this morning.

Dr. Fred Czerwonka, middle school principal at West Plains, said he will fill the administrative spot at the Howell County school.

“I have accepted another position and have respectfully withdrawn my application at Houston,” Czerwonka said.

That leaves two candidates for the Houston job:

*Dr. Dan Vandiver, assistant superintendent at Hollister.

*Nathan Holder, superintendent at Raymondville.
