Iraq Troops Benefit From Local Efforts

A mother’s efforts to make Christmas brighter for troops in Iraq – along with some help from local residents – received accolades from military leadership there.

Gayla Bratton of Houston made 85 stockings that were filled with goodies donated by several businesses and individuals and mailed them to her son’s company. Capt. Richard Bratton III and his company are situated southwest of Baghdad. Opportunity Sheltered Industries pitched in by embroidering the name of each soldier, providing a personalization for each of the stockings.
