Travelers along U.S. 60 and 63 in northern Howell County will find a pavement project this week, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced Friday.
The agency will seal a section of westbound U.S. 60-63 on Jan. 2-4 and Sunday, Jan. 6, weather permitting. Tentative hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.
The 1.5-mile section begins on westbound U.S. 60-63 in front of Hillbilly Junction and ends before the Highways 76-137 exit. Traffic will be restricted to one lane during the operation.
On Sunday, Jan. 6, crews will close the westbound U.S. 60 and 63 ramps to and from Industrial Drive near Hillbilly Junction. This closure will allow crews to seal the right lane and the on and off ramps while traffic volumes are low.
The department said motorists should plan ahead and allow extra time due to the one-lane restriction and a temporary ramp closure. Message boards and work zone signs will be used during the operation.
